Software & AI

Junior Vibe Coding

Pay: $1000–1500/month

Role overview

Help turn product ideas into working software using AI coding tools and sound engineering habits. This junior role combines clear prompting with reading code, debugging, and implementing small features across interfaces, APIs, and data. You will work from defined product goals, explain the changes you make, and prepare tested work for human review before release.

What success looks like in this role

  • Small features match the agreed user flow and work on the screen sizes and browsers included in the brief.
  • AI-assisted changes are understood, checked with relevant tests, and ready for a human reviewer to assess.
  • Interfaces, API calls, and data handling behave clearly when inputs are missing, requests fail, or a user lacks access.
  • Bug reports include reproducible steps, and handoffs explain what changed, what was verified, and any remaining limitations.
  • Your task breakdowns and prompts become more precise as you apply review feedback and learn the existing codebase.

Role requirements

  • Foundational HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript skills, with an understanding of how a frontend connects to APIs and stored data.
  • Ability to use an AI coding assistant, provide useful project context, and read and explain the code it proposes.
  • Comfort with Git, a code editor, basic terminal commands, and investigating errors with browser or application debugging tools.
  • Basic testing and security awareness, including input validation, access controls, and keeping credentials out of source code and public output.
  • Project links, a repository, or a walkthrough showing something you built and your contribution. Personal projects are welcome as evidence.

Key responsibilities

  • Turn a product brief into small tasks with clear behavior, relevant files, constraints, and a concrete definition of completion.
  • Implement responsive interface changes, API integrations, and simple data flows using the project's existing patterns.
  • Inspect AI-generated changes, investigate defects, and make the corrections needed to keep the implementation understandable and maintainable.
  • Run the relevant tests and static checks, manually verify the requested behavior, and document results for review.
  • Protect secrets and user data, flag changes affecting authentication or permissions, and incorporate human review before work is released.
